AMF Farms was started by two innovative women – Michele Youngquist and Liz Mitchell – who grew their small business from the soil and an idea. Together Michele and Liz are skilled entrepreneurs and have established an impressive enterprise that is both creative and business savvy.
Each season, AMF Farms and Bay Baby Produce plant and grow about 200 acres of miniature and pie size pumpkins for the fall and Halloween season. Not only do we grow the pumpkins, but we also decorate and package them. In 2000, AMF Farms developed its signature Pumpkin Patch Pals®. The Pals are a vibrant crew of individually hand-decorated, painted mini pumpkins with happy, jubilant character faces and distinctive, feathery hair.
Pumpkin Patch Pals® are enjoyed by everyone! In autumn, you can find them throughout the United States. They are available both online and in grocery and specialty stores near you.
AMF Farms also produces Fruit Deco™ - premium gift-quality apples, pears and an assortment of other fruits and vegetables that are custom decorated (great for fundraisers too!). This very unique and 100% edible proprietary process was researched, tested and developed by AMF Farms.

Michele Youngquist
Michele (right) has been in the pumpkin painting business for the past 30 years. Originally, Michele farmed several crops before concentrating on mini and pie-size painted pumpkins. Michele specializes in sales and is an expert project manager.
Liz Mitchell
Liz (left) joined Michele in a new pumpkin patch about 12 years ago. With an extensive background in elementary education, marketing and materials development, she designs and develops all point of sales and marketing tools as well as the pumpkin patch characters.
